How to Add Words for Learning

Adding a word takes just a few seconds. AI does the heavy work by itself: translating, generating examples, and recording pronunciation. You only need to enter the word.

To start learning, you need to add words or phrases to your study list. You can do this from the search screen.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Search tab

The Search tab is in the bottom bar. The search field on the main screen leads to the same place.

Enter a word or phrase

You can enter single words, phrasal verbs, idioms, or full expressions. AI handles all of it.

Wait for the AI response

In a few seconds AI builds a translation into your language, example sentences in context, a transcription and audio. A rare word is being built for the first time and takes a little longer, and the app shows you what is happening.

Or create your own card

A generated card cannot be edited, but you can create a fully custom one — with your own translation, image and examples.

Save the word

The word goes into your vocabulary and immediately enters the spaced repetition system.

What You Can Add

VibeLing does not limit you to a basic dictionary. Add anything:

Single words: ubiquitous, serene, ephemeral
Phrasal verbs: give up, look into, carry out
Idioms: hit the nail on the head, under the weather
Set expressions: as far as I know, it goes without saying

Choose a word in the suggestion list

You can add a word directly from the list without opening its card. This is convenient if you want to add several words quickly.

Preview a Word Before Adding

If you want to check a word in detail before saving, open the card. It includes:

Example sentences
Translation
Pronunciation

After that, you can add the word to your study list.

Adding Phrases

In VibeLing, you can add not only single words but also full phrases. This helps memorize set expressions faster and learn language in context.

There is no fixed word database in the app. Words, translations, and examples are generated by AI, so you can add even rare phrases without dictionary limits.

Adding Words Has No Limits

You can add words without limits: there is no cap on quantity, and it does not depend on the subscription.

Adding words is unlimited both in the free version and in Pro. The subscription removes ads and unlocks several languages, the full lesson course, the whole daily pick and extended statistics.
