Learn words by ear so you recognise them in real speech
A word you recognise on paper is easy to miss in a conversation. In VibeLing the word plays first, and you only see how it’s spelled after you answer — so it’s your ear that gets the practice.
How VibeLing trains your ear
The Listening exercise
The word only plays, and you pick its translation from four options. The speaker button plays it again. The exercise is part of your daily training and is on by default.
The Audio sprint game
10 questions, 12 seconds each: hear the word and pick the translation. Points for speed, a high score and a review of mistakes after the run.
Audio for words and examples
On a card you can hear the word itself and every example sentence, so you hear it in context, not only on its own.
When you can’t listen
Tap “Can't listen now” — the word appears written and the training carries on without sound.

Questions and answers
How do I learn to understand words by ear?
Listen to a word apart from its spelling and recall its meaning from the sound. The exercise and the game do exactly that, and spaced repetition brings the word back until you recognise it at once.
How is Listening different from Audio sprint?
Listening is part of your daily training: it follows your plan and moves the word along its review intervals. Audio sprint is a timed game with points and a high score; unfamiliar words from a run can be added to your vocabulary.
Can I turn Listening off?
Yes, in training settings. If it’s just inconvenient right now, tap “Can't listen now”.
Can I hear the word again?
Yes, tap the speaker — in both the exercise and the game.
Is it free?
Yes: Listening, Audio sprint and card audio are all in the free version.
