Translate words on any site with a double-click and save them to your vocabulary
Reading an article in Spanish and hit an unfamiliar word? Double-click it: the extension shows every meaning with a picture and translation, and the one you need goes to your VibeLing vocabulary in one click. You then learn it in the app.
Add to ChromeWhat the extension does
Every meaning of a word
A double-click shows each meaning of a word: translation, short definition and picture. Your vocabulary gets exactly the one you picked.
Phrases and paragraphs
Select a phrase, sentence or paragraph and the pop-up shows its full translation, up to 2,000 characters.
Highlights words you know
Words from your vocabulary get a soft highlight on web pages, so you see you’ve met them before. Highlighting can be turned off.
One vocabulary with the app
Link the extension to your account with a code from the app, and words saved in the browser end up in training on your phone.
How it works
-
Install the extension and choose the language you learn and your native one.
-
Browse as usual and double-click unfamiliar words.
-
Train the saved words in the VibeLing app — without review they fade within a week.
Works with 11 languages
The pop-up only appears on text in the language you learn, so it stays out of the way everywhere else.
Questions and answers
Is it free?
Yes. The extension is free, with no cap on saved words.
Do I need the app?
No, the extension works on its own: on first launch it creates your vocabulary on the server. But there’s no training in the extension — reviewing words is easier in the VibeLing app, which you link with a code from “My devices”.
How is this different from a page translator?
A translator translates and forgets. Here the word, in the meaning you need, is saved to your vocabulary with a picture, examples and audio, and the app reminds you to review it.
Does it work in other browsers?
The extension is published in the Chrome Web Store. Chromium-based browsers that install extensions from there, such as Edge, Opera or Brave, usually work too.
Can the extension see what I read?
No. It only reacts to your double-click or selection, and only the chosen word or fragment is sent for translation.
