How “disfrutando” is used

The preposition is the thing to get right. Disfrutar de algo is the careful form — están disfrutando del clima — but disfrutar algo, with a plain object, is equally correct and more common in speech and across Latin America. What does not work is importing an English preposition: disfrutar en el trabajo is not how the pleasure sense is built.

Two more habits. Spanish uses estar plus gerund far less than English does, so where English says I'm enjoying it, Spanish is often content with lo disfruto. And the wish English makes with enjoy! comes out as a subjunctive: que lo disfrutes to one person, que lo disfruten to several — literally «may you enjoy it». Disfrutar and gozar overlap, but gozar carries a sexual reading in many countries and is safer left alone.
